Tim Shannon currently works as a generalist research analyst at Zweig-DiMenna Associates, a 25-yr old long/short hedge fund. He previously worked as a research associate at JPMorgan Asset Management following the pharma, biotech, and medical technologies industries in the US Equity Group.
Tim Shannon graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa from Georgetown University, majoring in Health Care Management and Policy. His coursework included Financial Accounting, Financial Statement Analysis, Derivatives, Microeconomics, Macroeconomics, Competition and Regulation in Telecom, Healthcare, and Utilities, Marketing Research, and Health Care Financial Analysis.
Tim's passions lie in investing and health care. He actively pursued these interests via internships at the Steadman-Hawkins Biomechanics Research Laboratory in 2003 the Office of the Secretary at the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services in 2004, Anacapa Asset Management in 2005, and Marsico Capital Management in 2006.
Tim served as the Chief Executive Officer of GPS during his time as an undergraduate.
