Kent Choi
London School of Economics

Born in San Francisco, Kent Choi attended the Chinese International School in Hong Kong, where he founded the Theoretical Physics club. As the best economics student in the school, he graduated with the Derek Chu memorial cup for academic excellence. Kent is currently studying BSc Accounting and Finance in the London School of Economics and Political Science, where he firsted all his subjects in year one. He is also the Accounting Affairs Officer in the LSE Accounting Society.

Besides school, Kent was an active runner and completed the Standard Chartered Marathon in 2005. Having practiced Tai Chi for many years, he is deeply interested in different forms of martial arts. During his free time he also participates as a volunteer in YMCA.

Kent's interest in business and finance originated from the 1997 Asian financial crisis, where he was amazed by the impact of the stock market on the economy. However it was not until university where he pursued this further and began to self study fundamental analysis and valuation. Kent will be working as a summer intern in Goldman Sachs during the summer of 2007, and intends to work in New York after he graduates.
