Jim Ortman
Healthcare Sector Leader

Jim Ortman graduated from St. Xavier High School in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2006. He currently attends the University of Dayton and is double majoring in Finance and Entrepreneurship.
Jim became passionate about business and investing through his involvement in several business organizations on campus. He currently serves as the corporate social responsibility team leader for the Davis Center for Portfolio Management, an esteemed and technologically advanced investment center located on UD’s campus. Jim is an active participant in the design and execution of the annual R.I.S.E. (Redefining Investment Strategy Education) Forum, which currently stands as the world’s largest student investment conference. He has been involved as a leader with a number of clubs and organizations, including Vice President of Finance Club, Academic Chair for Delta Tau Delta Fraternity, and currently serves as a Member of the Student Disciplinary Judicial Board.
From 2006 until 2007, Jim worked as an insurance intern for Horan Associates and Securities. In 2007, he served as the President of the UD Pillowcase Company, an entrepreneurial micro-business that was started as part of the University of Dayton’s entrepreneurship program. Most recently, he worked as an operational finance intern for Cincinnati Bell Technology Solutions. In his spare time, Jim loves reading, dining, and spending time with family and friends.
