James Tramontana grew up in Buffalo, NY, before moving to Colorado in 1999.  James graduated from Holy Family High School in 2006.  He currently attends the University of Colorado at Boulder, and is pursuing a double degree in Finance and Economics. 

James has a strong curiosity for finance, economics and politics.  At CU, James supplements his education in these areas through acting as the VP of finance for NSCS, where he is responsible for managing expenses and maintaining the annual budget.  In addition to NSCS, James also interns at Sargent Bickham Lagudis in Boulder, a local investment management firm.  James is very passionate about trading and the derivatives market. He looks forward to taking the first step towards a career in the field in the Summer of 2010 by working for COP on their energy trading desk in TX.
