From Houston, Texas, Chris graduated from Strake Jesuit High School in 2007 with highest honors and currently attends McDonough School of Business of Georgetown University where he is gearing his coursework to attain a double major in Finance and Accounting with a minor in Psychology.
Chris interns part time at the Georgetown University Investment/Endowment Office where he works closely with operations and financial analysts to analyze the operations and liquidity of the endowment as well as to conduct research into private equity and energy markets. He is also an operations manager and a member service representative at the Georgetown University Alumni and Student Federal Credit Union, the largest entirely student-run financial institution in the country with $11 million in assets. Finally, Chris is also a licensed EMT-Basic with the Georgetown University Emergency Medical Response Service, a student-run organization which provides EMS care to the greater Georgetown area.
His first entrance into finance and capital markets came as an internship during the summer after senior year at a foreign-exchange oriented commodity trading pool, Treasury Management Services, Inc. Chris shadowed partner traders who gave him great insight into trading, managing a fund, and how to interpret macroeconomic trends and market data into a strategic investment decisions.
Chris’s inspiration in investing stemmed from observing his parents’ management of their own portfolio. Since then, through GPS and other close friendships, Chris has learned much more about investing, especially the value-oriented approach and hopes to develop his career around entrepreneurship and value investing.
