Michael Tanzer
New York University

Michael Tanzer currently works as a generalist research analyst at DG Capital Management, looking at special situations/distressed debt and event-driven equities.  Before joining DGCM, Michael worked for 2+ years during the school year at Oberon Asset Management LLC valuing equities and unsecured debt in a generalist disposition, concentrating on small-cap firms.

Michael graduated from the College of Arts & Sciences of New York University, double-majoring in Philosophy & Economics.  Recruited for NYU Golf after winning, among other honors, the New York 1/Health Plus NYC Scholar Athlete of the Week, Michael enjoys playing both golf and squash. Michael's passion is investing -- He actively pursued these interests via internships at Oberon & The Cypress Funds LLC in the summer of 2008 and Houlihan Lokey in the summer of 2009.

Michael served as the Chief Executive Officer and Portfolio Manager of GPS during his time as an undergraduate.
