Ken Li Chung

Born in Malaysia, Ken Li Chung attended The Alice Smith International School in Kuala Lumpur. At 16, he relocated to further his education at Winchester College, United Kingdom under a major scholarship, before completing a BSc Economics degree at the London School of Economics and Political Science.

At high school, Ken Li was the President of the Ramsey Economics Society, the captain of the school badminton team and a regular fixture in other sports teams. He has received state honours in swimming in which he was nationally ranked and holds a black belt in Tae Kwon Do. He is also fluent in Malay.

At the LSE, Ken Li was the President of the Business Society, the campus' largest student-run society. He was also a student mentor and sat on both the Economics Staff-Student Committee and the Undergraduate Forum whilst holding positions of Vice-President and President of the Economics Society and High Holborn Hall respectively. He represented the LSE at football every week.

In the spring of 2006, Ken Li interned with JPMorgan and Goldman Sachs in Equities and Fixed Income, Currencies and Commodities. Having developed a strong attraction to the Equities and Foreign Exchange markets, Ken Li interned at Merrill Lynch in their Global Markets division last summer, in London. He is currently working full-time at Merrill Lynch as a proprietary equity trader.
