Hoshrav successfuly served as our Chief Executive Officer from 2008 - 2009 and as a Portfolio Manager from 2006 - 2008.

Hoshrav Minoo Patel graduated with Distinction from the Kuwait English School. He was conferred the London Examinations High Achievers Certificate under the patronage of Her Majesty The Queen and is a recipient of the Award for International Understanding accorded by the European Council of International Schools. He is an Eagle Scout and speaks French, Hindi and Gujarati. Now in his final year at New York University’s Leonard N. Stern School of Business, Hoshrav looks to double-major in Finance and Economics, accompanied by a concentration in Entrepreneurship.  

Through his stints at automotive dealerships, a retail bank, a large conglomerate, a consumer finance enterprise and investment companies, Hoshrav brings to the table wide-ranging experience. He gained practical investment experience as a full-time summer analyst for the Trust Company of the West, an investment company with $153.5 billion in assets under management, in 2006 and at JPMorgan Asset Management during the summer of 2008. His stint in Mergers and Acquisitions at Citi Markets & Banking, during the summer of 2007, helped him gain a fundamental understanding of deal financing and structuring. He will begin his full-time career at JPMorgan Asset Management’s buy-side long/short equity group as an Analyst for the Energy & Basic Materials teams.
 
Although he left the region where he grew up, Hoshrav continues to keep a close watch on the fundamentals of the Indian and Middle Eastern markets.

Besides automotives and the investment world, Hoshrav’s passions lie in debating and public speaking. He led Kuwait’s National Debate Team at the 2004/2005 World Schools’ Debating Championships in Calgary, Canada and currently represents New York University at international debate tournaments across the globe. He serves as President of New York University’s Parliamentary Debaters Union and has received a scholarship for excellence in the field of debating.

Hoshrav hopes to make an eventful career in the investment world while dedicating the latter part of his life to the field of economic development, aspiring to someday work in conjunction with the IMF or World Bank.

In his spare time Hoshrav enjoys playing golf, squash, traveling the globe, reviewing the latest from the automotive world and spending memorable moments with family and friends.
